FOUR!

Photos of Finnegan's baptism coming soon, but in the mean time, here is a picture of Finn at four months. This pose pretty much sums up our time with Finn these days. Joy joy joy.

You snooze you lose

Finnegan slept straight through our ice cream outing.

Celebrate!

This proud mama had so much to celebrate this Mother's day. It was so special to share the day with my mother. My mom always showed such elation at the little handmade gifts my sisters and I would make for her for mother's day, and now I understand why. Finn's best gift to me? Sleeping in my arms on a beautiful Sunday afternoon as we ended our picnic.

Oh what a grand mother's day!

Our Spread...Ants invade some people's picnics. Pacifiers invade ours.

Mother's Day cuddles!

Cuddles for dad too

happy day!

Bloggers for Birth Kits

As with most women, I'm sure, becoming a mother has given me a new perspective. It has heightened my sense of empathy and given me a greater appreciation for humanity. I feel connected to others in a way I never have before. On that note, and in honor of mothers and babies everywhere, I'm forwarding on a project my sister (and mommy extraordinaire) shared with me. Happy Mother's Day!  Bloggers for Birth Kits

Greats, Grands, and Medals

We've learned that weekend getaways suit Finnegan as well as they suit his parents. Last weekend we drove to Cincinnati to introduce Finn to his great grandfather and to show him one of his parents' favorite past times... road races.  The hotel stay and cheering on his mom and dad at the Flying Pig 10k and half marathon tied for second, but Finn's overall weekend winner was meeting his great grandpa Blake.

Don't they make sleep number cribs?

Where did I put that room service menu?

Yay Daddy!

First place!

Waiting and waiting and waiting for mommy to pass by.

Pop goes the milestones

Pop came for a visit, and we had the best time ever!  We got to talking about all the things Finnegan can do now that he couldn't do the last time Pop visited just 2 months earlier. I'm loving this stage of Finn's life- it's full of laughs, games, and learning. Here are a few photos to show you Finn's newest accomplishments.
He can jump in his jumperoo

He can pretend he's an inch worm

He can go out for lunch

He can play with Pop

He's honed his snuggling skills

He can sit up

Sort of.

He can do belly to belly gymnastics

He can help mommy cook dinner
