extra extra

Just a little update on how Finn has been spending his days through June and July.

Hanging with his cousins on a visit to Cincinnati.

Taking a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. This place was a winner!

Finn would have invited the purple wolf to dinner with us if he hadn't been speechless with excitement.

Doing what the monkeys do.

Finn was not disappointed that the orangutan was sleeping. Allowed for even longer staring into his face.

A solution to the question at seeing every large animal at the zoo, "I ride it?"

This is the face of a boy who is riding a train at the zoo.
Yes, a train ride at the zoo. I know, I know, how do you move up from this?

"Fast! They're fast, Mommy! I ride it?"

Daddy, Mommy, and baby. Finn and I both felt a connection to this little family.
Rocking it at swim practice. (with an assist from dad)

Finn with his coach and swimming diploma. He did great.

Little lunchtime love.

Breakfast with balloon monkeys at the farmers market

We're friends with world class gardeners.

Parks and Rec's best summer event: Messy Mania!

It doesn't get much better than snuggles and monkey books with Nonnie!

Sparkly

Starting July 5th and every morning since, Finnegan has awakened asking to go to a parade. That pretty much sums up the excitement he experienced on the Fourth of July. Second only to the parade were sparklers, fireworks (particularly the blue and purple), and popsicles. Lots of popsicles. My birthday followed two days later, and while hiking and opening presents were fun, I think Finn would have prefered another parade.

Finn's greeting: "Good morning and Happy July!"

Peanut butter chocolate cake, and this cutie by my side. What a perfect way to celebrate.
