Pictures that show how happy/proud I am to be a mom

My dear Aunt Kris took a Facebook challenge to post a photo that showed the happiness and pride she felt about being a mom. She forwarded the challenge on to me, but the rule was to choose just one photo. Practically impossible, so here are several photos that illustrate how very happy and proud I am to be the mother to this smart, stubborn, kind, hilarious little boy.

Mother's Day

On this Mother's Day evening, Clark is on a flight to Germany, so we chose to celebrate early. This was fine by me, since Friday (our celebration day) was the only break from rain in the past forever. We celebrated as we did on my first mother's day as a mother, with a picnic at Oliver Winery. The best thing about a picnic is we take out time. We eat, play in the grass, eat more, look for bugs, have dessert, walk around the pond...and the next thing you know a picnic lunch has turned into 5pm. We're tired from the fresh air and sun, and not the least bit interested in dinner. The entire day was beyond lovely.

Packing the picnic!
