The Polar Vortex

Like the rest of North America, we've had a few cold days here in Bloomington. For us, that resulted in cancelled work and extra days of vacation. We put the time off to good use and got creative with indoor games and outdoor fun (before it got too cold). Not documented in photos is movie night- Finn's first viewing of an old favorite, The Muppets Take Manhattan. He laughed is head off at the rats and danced to the songs. By day three, we broke into a few of the goodies we were saving for Finn's birthday and all three of us had the words to his Pete the Cat book memorized. Good times.

Finn's first venture into the snow is his new back yard.

Well, this birthday present is a hit! 

Another outcome of the snow days? We had plenty of time to stare at the walls. And choose a paint color.
