Wow. The month of December was completely filled with songs, joy, magic, and delight. Everywhere we went Finn pointed out reindeer, Santa, snowmen and elves. He sang carols, looked for flying reindeer, and marveled over the giant blow up lawn ornaments around the neighborhood. (Not in our yard, though it did cross my mind to buy and display 20 after seeing the joy on his face.)
Since putting the decorations away, Finn still brings me his toys and asks if we can wrap them up and open them again. He also hides little goodies around the house and giggles in delight when he "discovers" them from the elves. This is the first year since my own childhood that I've relished the magic included in this holiday. I hope he keeps it for a long time.

| If I could find half the joy in ANYTHING that Finn finds in this toy ambulance, my life would be complete. |
Following Christmas, Finn and I took a short day trip to Columbus, IN to visit a cute children's play space. Finn befriended a little girl visiting as well, who filled him in on an important peice of information: an ice-cream parlor next door. We went. It was a very big deal.
