snow

Mondays are usually pretty full with story time at the library and music class, but today everything was cancelled. Snow Day! Up until now, there hasn't been much snow in Bloomington this winter. At least once a week, Finn looks up longingly at the sled in our garage and asks, "can we go on a sleigh ride?" Today was the day.
And all I can say in reaction to the fun we had is,
This. Kid.
He played nonstop for almost 2 hours. Hiking up the hill, making angels, eating snow, hiking up the hill again. And again. And again. I finally convinced him to come in with a bribe of hot chocolate, but even then, he negotiated for 3 more times down the hill. Only after we were inside, dry, and sitting by the fire did he say, "My hands are a a little bit cold."

Finn: "That was fun! Let's do it 5, er 12 more times"

"Yum. It tastes like ice cream and road."

Welcome to my ski chalet.
And the sledder in action:

  1. I see he gave up on wearing the fireman jacket to play in the snow? We must have been very convincing that it wouldn't be warm enough :)
